POEM

In the Midst of Hardship by Latiff Mohidin

Stanza 1 : At sunrise they returned home, clothes soaked and torn. They went towards the stove looking for food. They had tiny bruises on their  hands and wounds covering their legs.In spite of their  discomfort, they do not seem to be in despair.

Stanza 2:   They had spent the whole day and night braving the horrible flood. They were wading in the water all the time between floating decaying carcasses and small pieces of tree barks anxiously searching for their son's albino buffalo and which was never found.

Stanza 3 : They were born in hard times and grew up neither sighing nor complaining .Now they are back in he kitchen , joking and at the same time rolling thir home-made cigarettes.

Setting
This poem takes place in the morning  in a rural area possibly a village by the river.

Mood
What are the feeling  that are aroused in us after reading the poem? We symphatise with and mrvel at thieir calm acceptance of thier fate .There is also admiration in their stoic outlook in life.

Tone
The tone of the poem refers to the  attitude  of the poet. Here the poet writers in a relaxed, matter-of-fact manner. Though hardship  are expressed , there are no sighs  or complaints.

Moral Values
It is remain happy and  hopeful in the midst of hardship and not to sigh and grumble  when things don;t work out our way

Hai...tadi pagi2 lagi aku kene pegi umah nenek sedara aku....Mesti nanti aku kene dengar dia cakap " Tidurlah sini temankan nenek"... Sebenarnye aku bukannye taknak teman cume aku segan ,sebaba aku bukannye biasa dng nnk tu..pastu dah umah besar...nak plak kene jaga tertib...tulah pasal...
Better aku ddk umah ade kom..dngn ade jgk aku borak..

What a such a boring day for me!!!

Cuti sekolah dah start dan saat yang kadangkala nye membosankan. Aku tak tau bile hari yang happy untuk aku.. Masa ni aku kene siapkan akaun yang tak sudah-sudah ni... nanti tahun depan ade lagi akaun untuk form 5 punye.. Dan kekadang aku rase rindu pulak kat kelas walaupun ade masenye kat kelas tu aku yang paling boring...Rindu ??? Rindu kat sape?? hehehe... SECRET...HAHA.. Bile aku bukak facebook...kekawan takde yang on9 pown..nak tunggu diaorng ...???  Entah bilelah nak tgk diorng on9..
Aku kekadang malas nak on9 ... Nurul pown dah lama tak on9 ...ape cite dia?? hmmmm...........

haha,,cutenye.,..boring baby ni...kesian...

The story about Cancer person

The wedding...


Her name is Katie Kirkpatrick, 21 yrs old. Next to her is her fiancé, Nick, 23.
This picture was taken prior to their wedding January 11th, 2005.
Katie has terminal cancer and spends hours in chemotherapy.
Here Nick awaits while she finishes one of the sessions...

Even in pain and dealing with her organs shutting down, with the help of morphine,
Katie took care of every single part of the wedding planning.
Her dress had to be adjusted several times due to Katie 's constant weight loss.

An expected guest was her oxygen tank. Katie had to use it during the ceremony and reception.
The other couple in this picture is Nick's parents, very emotional with the wedding and to see their son marrying the girl he fell in love when he was an adolescent.

Katie , in a wheel chair listening to her husband and friends singing to her.


In the middle of the party, Katie had to rest for a bit and catch her breath.
The pain does not allow her to stand for long period of time.

Katie died 5 days after her wedding...
To see a fragile woman dress as bride with a beautiful smile makes you think... happiness is always there within reach, no matter how long it lasts.....
Lets enjoy life and don't live a complicated life.
Life is too short.

Work as if it was your first day.
Forgive as soon as possible.
Love without boundaries..
Laugh without control
and never stop smiling.

Please pray for those suffering from cancer.
We all have close to our heart.
Keep this going.
Prayers are always answered.
